So it’s that time of the year again when we are happy to see the current year leave us and we verbally express hope that the coming year is going to be better. There’s always that hope. We’ve all said it before. You know the statement, “Next year will be better.”
Of course we all know that it doesn’t work that way but that doesn’t stop us from hoping.
Just a reminder that there will always be stressors in life that suck. There will always be ups and downs. We can’t escape those. It’s how we manage those stressors that counts.
We are attached, we cling, we desire…that is what leads us on the path to suffering.
Arrogantly we believe that we will be exempt from suffering. We become upset when things don’t go our way.
True happiness comes learning to let go of those attachments, learning to let go of those desires.
When we allow ourselves to let go of those things to which we cling we will find ourselves on the path to true happiness.
Make 2021 count.
Happy New Year Chris!!!!
